Fabian and Riz to me are like. They’re like the definition of “a secret third thing” to me but not like in a qpr way. I fucking adore aroace Yelena. I know this blog is 95% dedicated to romantic bishova but Yelena’s character means so much me and the aroace Yelena character has quite a solid footing in some areas of the fandom so I think it’s still worth talking about

As someone who has experience in being in both romantic relationships and queer platonic ones, I can confidently say that both are super rad, and both romantic bishova and queer platonic bishova are valid and cool and I’m a fan

The two of them together in any manner of setting makes me excited. Why wouldn’t I love bishova in a qpr? It literally has something for everyone. Aroace Yelena truthers? Check. Bishova being silly and gay in the way qpr’s are? Check. Women? Check. Really it’s a no brainer. I love them so much.

Anyway there was really no rhyme or reason to this I just wanted to say I love qpr bishova too :)

Yeeeessss!! You see my vision!!! I think the firsts hair clips and rolls that Steve uses come from his mom. So they're all neutral colors, like white and navy and gray, and he kinda starts doing it just very pragmatically, out of necessity.

But then he starts letting himself enjoy little things like that and he goes shopping with Robin and slowly the new clips and rolls morph his bedside drawer into the prettiest rainbow. All filled with pastel yellows, blues and greens but very bright pinks and purples and oranges 🌈

Ugh YES!!! We know Steve likes to look good, so I’m also picturing him matching his rollers to his pajamas like the biggest cutest fucking dork.

Also, the first time Robin comes home and Steve’s recreating that Risky Business scene in his socks and button down, sliding all over the floor, his hair still done up, she never lets him live it down. Especially when he nearly wipes out and busts his ass at being caught.

She roasts him affectionately, of course.

And don’t even get me started on when Eddie sees Steve in rollers for the first time. He almost had a whole wolf whistle heart eyes moment and has to talk himself down from popping the question right then and there. “God what a weirdo, I need him forever.”

might be the aro in me but i think one of the reasons i don’t ship mattfoggy is because i enjoy the idea of platonic intimacy and friendship without romance. i enjoy them as best friends, because their friendship is not any less than romantic love or needs to be. especially for characters like them, i think it’s important that they have friendships that are not inherently romantic. matt, because he has severe abandonment trauma and avoidant attachment, where all of his romances have ended in some form of tragedy. he has trouble feeling comfortable with people, he feels like he has to perform in many aspects, and does not with foggy, at least not anymore. trust is a hard earned thing with him, but it’s not just about trusting with being a hero, but trusting to be himself. in regards to foggy, because he also has his own issues regarding family and not feeling accepted. he needs that friend who provides the motivation, validation, and feeling of being good enough just for being him. his insecurities often come from being underestimated, being awkward, not fitting in, and with matt he can just be. they’re able to have a relationship with each other that has rupture and repair, knowing eventually after time it’s them against conflict and not them against each other. they set the standard for each other in how romantic relationships are. they provide that safe place for love that doesn’t have the weight of being someone’s everything or partner. they’re already partners! they’re best friends. i personally am a little in love with all of my friends, and i am utterly devoted to them. i will be affectionate and supportive and loving and i am not dating them. so yeah i see how stuff could be read romantic, i understand why people enjoy the ship, i get it, i do. but it’s more powerful to me when it’s not. romance is not the end all be all and that’s why i am obsessed with their friendship without it being this stepping stone for romance or there being no other explanation.

Another day of remembering my headcanon that Barbatos was Diavolos darling is canon, and savouring the flavour of being right that Barbatos has Stockholm syndrome.

I knew Barbatos’ had a trauma response to anticipate Diavolos every need because he was kidnapped, and I had this headcanon for years. And now thanks to nightbringer confirming that Barbatos referred to Diavolo as his captor at one point and suffers from the urge to please him anyways because Diavolo refuses to let him out of the room until he swore servitude, I’m right.

Mmmm. Delicious, having your headcanons validated.
